Forrest graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Computer Science and earned dual master’s degrees in Space Systems Operations and Applied Design for Innovation from the Naval Postgraduate School. His academic work included a capstone on autonomous drone swarms in partnership with DARPA and a thesis on alternative positioning using Starlink for GPS-denied environments. His education combines technical expertise and practical design, giving him a solid foundation for building effective, user-focused training tools.
As a naval officer, Forrest has seen firsthand how complex, costly, and resource-intensive traditional training can be. He has served as the lead planner for multiple military training evolutions with budgets in excess of $200,000 and understands the necessity of repetition in training. These experiences shaped his belief that immersive, scalable technology is essential to making training more effective and accessible. His background gives him a clear understanding of what real-world training demands—and how to improve it.
As Founder and CEO of Sentari VR Systems, Forrest leads the development of VR and mixed-reality training modules that help users train better, safer, and cheaper. From tactical medical scenarios to physics education and close-quarters combat training, his focus is on building practical solutions that meet real operational needs without requiring complex setups or extra hardware.
